During a well-received set, Brandy Clark singled out the Kerrverts at the Kerrville Folk Festival on Friday night.

Tony and Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Brandy Clark charmed the Kennedy Amphitheater crowd to its feet with a charming set that acknowledged the Kerrville Folk Festival mantra of “Welcome Home.” The Washington state-born, Nashville-based songwriter is as accomplished a writer as performs at this festival — a Grammy-nominated solo artist who co-wrote Kacey Musgraves’ “Follow Your Arrow” and whose 2024 Broadway musical “Shucked” was nominated for the Tony Award for best musical. Her solo catalog shines with witty, emotionally layered country songs that reward repeat listens.
