Kerr County is bracing for its first 100-degree stretch of the year, with a ridge of high pressure locking in hot, dry conditions through much of next week, according to the National Weather Service.

The NWS said an upper-level high centered over the southern Rockies will keep the region under a hot, dry ridge into next week, with only minor day-to-day temperature swings expected. Forecasters flagged the possibility of a Heat Advisory for the hottest spots this weekend, though better mixing of lower-dewpoint air next week could keep heat index values in check.
