Frank Joseph Pirotina Jr.: Feb. 1, 1956-Sept. 8, 2026

Frank Joseph Pirotina Jr., a treasured husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, joined his loved ones in Heaven on September 8, 2026.

Frank was born on February 1, 1956, to Marjorie and Frank Pirotina Sr. The youngest of three children, he was the beloved baby brother of his sisters, Judy Haley and Susan Hillje.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Bill Haley. He is survived by his loving wife, Sonja Pirotina; his children, FJ, Jenna, and Katie Pirotina, and Nicole and Chris Blanchard; his grandson, McCoy Blanchard; his sisters; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss him greatly.

Frank had a true love for life and adventure, and he never knew a stranger. He had a natural way of connecting with people, and wherever he went, there was usually a story to follow. An avid outdoorsman, Frank especially loved bird hunting—particularly quail and dove—as well as fishing. Some of his greatest stories came from adventures at Bullis Gap and along the Pecos River in West Texas. He also had plenty of tales from the years he spent living on the coast in Corpus Christi, stories he loved to share with family and friends.

Gifted with his hands and endlessly curious about how things worked, Frank was a skilled mechanic of automobiles, aircraft, and watercraft. If it had an engine, chances were Frank could figure it out.

He also had a special love for animals of all kinds. Whether it was a cat, a bird, or even a deer, animals always seemed to have a place in Frank’s life and heart.

Above all, Frank had a deep and abiding faith in the Lord. He was a proud member of First United Methodist Church of Kerrville, Texas, and his faith remained an important part of his life.

Frank lived a life filled with family, friendship, adventure, laughter, and more than a few unforgettable stories. Those who knew and loved him will carry those stories—and the memory of the man behind them—with them always.
