Kerrville’s Big Lots store targeted for closure as company begins liquidation
In the coming days, Big Lots will begin going-out-of-business (GOB) sales at all remaining store locations to protect the value of its assets.
Kerrville’s Big Lots store, a longstanding presence in a shopping center on Sidney Baker Street, will be closing after its parent company was unable to successfully emerge from bankruptcy.
In the coming days, Big Lots will begin going out of business (GOB) sales at all remaining store locations to protect the value of its assets.
Bruce Thorn, Big Lots’ President and Chief Executive Officer, stated, “We have worked extremely hard and taken every step to complete a going concern sale. While we remain hopeful about closing an alternative going concern transaction, we have made the difficult decision to initiate the GOB process in order to protect the value of the Big Lots estate.”
Big Lots will continue to serve customers both in-store and online, and updates will be provided as they become available.
