After fast start, Schreiner volleyball falters against Texas Lutheran

The Mountaineers fall for the sixth consecutive match.

After a red-hot start, Schreiner University’s volleyball team couldn’t muster much of a defense Saturday in the final three sets against visiting Texas Lutheran in a 3-1 loss in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match.

The Mountaineers rolled past Texas Lutheran in the first set, 25-16, and had an early lead in the second set before the Bulldogs stormed back. Gianna Hilliard led the Mountaineers with 10 kills, but Schreiner only converted on 6% of its attacks.
