Ken Weber: Dec. 1, 1938-Sept. 11, 2026

Ken Weber, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2026.

Born on December 1, 1938, in Corpus Christi, he graduated from Harlingen High School, and received his degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A & I, Kingsville. He joined the ROTC and proudly served his country as a 2nd Lieutenant. He had a successful career in the chemical engineering field, and he travelled all over the world marketing specialty chemicals. Ken spent much of his life in Central and South Texas and eventually moved to Kerrville where he and his wife Pat lived his dream retirement life.

One of his greatest joys was playing softball. He loved being on the field, competing with friends, and enjoying the camaraderie that came with the game. He was a founding member of the Senior Softball League in Kerrville, played ball into his 80’s, and was inducted into the Senior Softball Hall of Fame. Whether he was playing, talking about softball, or sharing stories from years past, softball and sports of all kinds were a special part of his life.

But above all else, he loved his family. He shared 27 wonderful years with his wife, Patricia, and took great pride in his daughters, Laura, Pam, Sharon and Katie. His family was his greatest accomplishment and a great source of happiness for him.

Those who knew Ken will remember his kind heart, quiet strength, love of people and the joy he found in spending time with those he cared about.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ross K. Weber, Sr. and Elsie Dietz Weber; and sister, Katherine “Kae” Theilen.

Ken is survived by his loving wife, Pat; sister, Carolyn Schwartz (Stephen); his daughters, Laura Abel (Steve), Pam Wiswell (Todd), Sharon Sims, and Katie Weber (Nolan); stepson, David Sayyae (Barbara); stepdaughter-in-law, Holly Sayyae Ballard (Steve); 10 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

He may be gone from the ball field, but the memories, and the love he left behind, will last forever.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 2, 2026, at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville, followed by burial at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
