Geraldine will be remembered for her loving heart, her loyalty and dedication to those she held dear, and her unwavering devotion to her faith in Our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Geraldine Therese Woodcox, 59, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away on October 8, 2026, in Kerrville.

Geraldine was born on December 13, 1966, in Shirley, Massachusetts, to Donald and Therese McCall. Growing up in a military family, Geraldine had the opportunity to live in many different places throughout her childhood. Of all the places she called home, Germany held a special place in her heart. She often spoke of her love for the country and always dreamed of returning one day. Geraldine spent much of her childhood in Killeen, Texas, where she attended school and graduated from high school.

In 1986, Geraldine met the love of her life, Michael Woodcox. Their love story blossomed, and on May 1, 1988, the two were married in Nacogdoches, Texas. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around love, laughter, and family. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Melissa and Matthew, who became the center of Geraldine’s world. Being a mother was not just a role she cherished; it was her greatest joy and always her first priority.

Geraldine and Michael raised their family in Waco, Texas, creating countless memories along the way. In 2016, they made the move to Kerrville, where they began a new chapter of their lives together, including Michael’s retirement from the VA in 2025.

Geraldine found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved thrift shopping, always enjoying the excitement of finding a hidden treasure. She had a special place in her heart for animals and took great joy in caring for them. She especially enjoyed being a “Gam Gam” to her fur grandbabies. One of her absolute favorite pastimes was simply sitting down and watching television with her baby boy, Matt. Those quiet moments together meant the world to her.

Above all else, Geraldine was devoted to her family. Whether spending time with her husband, enjoying the company of her children, or gathering with loved ones, she treasured every opportunity to be together. To Geraldine, family was everything. Her love extended far beyond her immediate family, especially to her nieces, Crissy and Stephanie, whom she always considered additional daughters. She had a way of making those closest to her feel loved, valued, and an important part of her life.

Geraldine will be remembered for her loving heart, her loyalty and dedication to those she held dear, and her unwavering devotion to her faith in Our Lord, Jesus Christ. While her family will deeply miss her presence, the love she gave so freely will continue to live on in each of them. Geraldine reminded those she loved to always live life to the fullest and to never forget their faith in God.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Therese McCall; and her sister, Kathy Folse.

She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Michael Woodcox; her children, Melissa Gallardo (Joe) and Matthew Woodcox; her siblings, Karen McElyea (David), Michael McCall (Pam), and Bonita Janssen; her sister-in-law and best friend, Elizabeth Keenan (Barry); her brother-in-law, James Karr; her beloved nieces, Crissy Franco (John) and Stephanie Keenan (Matt); along with numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and many other cherished family members.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Waco, Texas.

Geraldine’s favorite Bible verse was John 3:16, a beautiful reminder of the everlasting love and promise of eternal life found in her faith:

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” — John 3:16
