Hunter F. Batman Jr., 55, of Kerrville, TX, passed away on September 22, 2026, in Kerrville, TX. He was born in Kerrville, TX to Susie Short Batman and Hunter F. Batman Sr. He never married.
He attended schools in Bandera, Center Point, San Antonio and Houston. He graduated high school from Kings Academy in San Antonio. TX. He worked at Cypress Creek Pest Control in Houston for more than 30 years.
Hunter was preceded in death by his father, Hunter F. Batman Sr.; grandparents, James F. Batman and Iona Batman of Luray, VA; maternal grandfather, Leslie W. “Bill” Short of Vanderpool, TX; and maternal grandmother, Joy Short Putnam of Kerrville, TX.
Survivors include mother, Susie Short Rhodes and stepfather, Larry Rhodes of Vanderpool; aunts and uncles, Annette Short Lee and husband, David of Round Rock, TX, Les Short and wife, Marcia Short of Bandera, Clare Jo Short Anderson and husband, Rick Anderson of Tarpley, Jake Short and wife, Kari Short of Mountain Home.
Burial will be at Batman Family Cemetery in Luray, VA. Date to be determined.
Memorials may be given to Kerr County Animal Shelter or Kerrville Pets Alive.

He worked as a ranch foreman and lab tech for Dr. H.L. Risinger at the High Rafter Ranch for 40 years. He also worked for Dr. Brad Risinger for many years at Risinger Orthodontics.
