Paul Ayala Jr.: Oct. 23, 1959-Sept. 19, 2026

Paul Ayala Jr., 66, passed away on September 19, 2026, in Schulenburg, Texas. He was born on October 23, 1959, in Taylor County, Texas, to Paul and Sally Ayala.

Paul grew up in Kerrville, Texas, where he spent most of his life. Due to medical reasons, he spent the last few years of his life in Schulenburg. Throughout his years in Kerrville, Paul worked at several different places, with his last place of employment being Woodbury Taxidermy in Ingram, Texas. He also spent time helping his father and brother shear sheep, something that became part of the many memories he shared with his family.

Paul had an artistic and creative side. He enjoyed drawing, reading, and writing and appreciated opportunities to express himself through his creativity. He was also a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on his team.

Above all, Paul was a family man with a big and generous heart. He loved spending time with those closest to him and was always concerned with making sure the people around him were taken care of. His kindness and willingness to give to others were qualities that his family will always remember. To Paul, family was important, and the time he shared with them meant more than anything.

Paul is survived by his sons, Andrew Ayala and wife Haley, and Alex Ayala; his siblings, Janie Bennett and husband Mike, Roger Aberaham, Bobby Ayala and wife Flora, Rosie Way and husband Michael, Sophia Collier and husband Sammy, and Michael Ayala and wife Sara; two grandsons; and numerous extended family members and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Sally Ayala.

Paul will be remembered for his generous spirit, his creativity, his love for his family, and the big heart he shared so freely with those around him. His memory will continue to live on through the family and friends who knew and loved him.
