In Wednesday’s men’s game, Schreiner looked like it would receive a whipping after Trinity came out with a 14-2 run to start the game. The Mountaineers battled back to take a 43-42 lead at halftime.
AJ Aungst, who missed four games, came off the bench to hit six 3-pointers and score a team-high 20 points. The second-half was exceptionally tight, with Trinity getting narrow control in the final two minutes.
Schreiner’s Kamden Ross scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, while Alex Dehoyos scored 10 points, dished out nine assists and had six rebounds. Darian Gibson scored 12 points.
