Kenneth Allen Robinson Sr.: July 7, 1941-Oct. 2, 2026

Kenneth proudly served in the United States Air Force for 22 years, entering active duty in August 1960 and retiring in October 1982 with the rank of Master Sergeant (E-7).

Kenneth Allen Robinson Sr, passed away on October 2, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of military service, dedication, and family. His loved ones will remember him for the life he lived and the generations of family who carry his name and memory forward.

Kenneth was born on July 7, 1941, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to Jacob Thomas Robinson and Willie Eugenia (Grimsley) Robinson. Throughout his life, he demonstrated a commitment to service, responsibility, and loving his family and grandchildren.

A Life of Service

Kenneth proudly served in the United States Air Force for 22 years, entering active duty in August 1960 and retiring in October 1982 with the rank of Master Sergeant (E-7). He was in the Air Force Civil Service for another 20 years until 2002. During his distinguished military career, he served in a variety of important roles, including Material Facilities Supervisor, Detachment Recruiter, Public Affairs Technician, and Military Training Instructor.

Throughout his career, Kenneth earned numerous military decorations and awards, including the Air Force Commendation Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the Noncommissioned Officer Professional Military Education Ribbon. These honors reflect years of dedication and honorable service to his country.

Family and Legacy

Family remained an important part of Kenneth’s life. He was preceded in death by his daughter Robyn Eugenia (Robinson) Phillips. He is survived by his wife Linda Lou (Bertmann) Robinson, son Kenneth Allen Robinson Jr., his step-sons, Robert William Harder and Troy Lynn Harder, his grandchildren, Julia Loryn (Phillips) Jacky, Michelle Lea (Phillips) Rose, Daniel Paul Phillips, Austin Travis Phillips, Katherine Taylor Robinson, and Jake Mars Robinson, and his step-grandchildren Robert Zachary Harder, Caden Jayce Miller, Avery Elise Harder, Graham Doyce Harder and Quinlan Noelle Harder. He also took great joy in his many great-grandchildren and leaves behind a family whose lives and memories will continue to be shaped by his legacy.

Services will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Grimes Funeral Chapels, officiated by Daniel Phillips.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 10:15 AM, Thursday, October 15, 2026, at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.

May we remember his years of service with gratitude, and may his family find comfort in the memories and legacy he leaves behind.
