Schreiner won 25-20, 25-16, 17-25, 25-23, improving to 1-1 in non-conference play. Redlands, the California-based opponent, fell to 0-1. It was Schreiner's second match in three days in San Antonio, following Tuesday's four-set loss to Trinity.

Schreiner was picked fourth with 37 points in its return to the ASC, coming off a 24-7 season in 2025. The Mountaineers return two 2025 All-Conference selections in setter Harlie Gallaspy, a senior, and outside hitter Giana Hilliard, also a senior.
The Mountaineers got 21 kills from junior Gianna Hilliard, who hit .232 on the day, but they could not slow Colorado's offense.
The third-seeded Mountaineers (23-6, 13-3 SCAC) advance to their first conference championship match in program history. They will face Colorado College at 3 p.m. Saturday.
The quick turnaround means Schreiner will focus on rest before facing Hendrix.
Schreiner dropped to 21-6 overall and 12-3 in SCAC play, while Colorado College improved to 18-7 and 10-4 in the conference.
The Mountaineers (15-3, 7-0 SCAC) won 25-22, 16-25, 25-23, 17-25, 15-11 before a crowd of 122 at El Pomar Sports Center.
